Villa Pitaya was built about 200 years ago after the last big volcanic eruption on Lanzarote, the people there packed up, sailed across the sea to land on Fuerteventura and then settled in Lajares.
The house was built with natural stone, room by room.
The location was very cleverly chosen because there, next to the large palm tree in the garden, a well was built into which rainwater from the surrounding mountains flowed.
Surrounding mountains flowed into it.
So this place was already then a place of love and peace.
