In Villa Pitaya's magical garden, Jonathan grows pitayas that bloom between July and December.
The large white flowers usually open only at night. That is why they are called "the lady of the night".
It is magical to watch this large flower open on a warm night with a full moon.
3 weeks later, this flower has turned into a large pitaya (dragon fruit).

These organic superfood fruits are only watered with rain or tap water and can be purchased from Jonathan.
As well as Maracuyas, Pintangas and Rucula depending on the season.

Villa Pitaya consists of the magical garden and several apartments
which are available for tourist rental.

Villa Pitaya was built about 200 years ago after the last big volcanic eruption in Lanzarote, the people there packed up, sailed across the sea to run aground in Fuerteventura and then settled in Lajares.
The house was built with natural stone, room by room.
The location was very cleverly chosen, as next to the large palm tree in the garden a well was built into which the rainwater from the surrounding mountains flowed.

So this place was already then a place of love and peace.
